Validating check-outs

ArcGIS assumes during a check in that there have been no schema changes to either the check-out geodatabase or the master geodatabase. If changes have happened, you may see errors during check in. This sample can be run to validate that the tables and fields are consistant in the check-out and master geodatabases. The check-out geodatabase must be a personal geodatabase.

How to use:
  1. Start ArcCatalog and bring up the customize dialog.
  2. Click the commands tab then click Add from file and browse for validateDO.dll. This adds a command to the disconnected editing category.
  3. Drag the command onto a toolbar.
  4. In ArcMap, check-out some data to a personal geodatabase.
  5. In ArcCatalog, select the check-out geodatabase you've just created and run the command. A message is displayed indicating if there are any incompatibilities and a report is generated.
